Using Firewire Hub with Macbook; FCP 5.1
Hey all,
I was wondering if using a Firewire Hub while importing footage into FCP will affect performance. I only have one Firewire 400 port, so I am planning to buy one to be able to dump HDV footage from my Canon HV20 into my WD Passport (Firewire) external drive. Will I still be able to have real-time speed imports?

Hi Robert,
The hub it self won’t give you problems.
But you sill have only one FW bus.
While capturing you better don’t try to use it for any other task.
