Hello, and thank you in advance for all responders.

I am obviously new to Resolve. I need to color correct a 40 minute narrative edited in fcpx that has a decent amount of titles time remaps and alpha channeled clips.

Rather than round tripping back and forth to fcpx, I thought it might be easiest to import a single HQ file into Resolve, cut it up, color correct and finish in Resolve.

I understand that there is a scene detection feature in Resolve, but I thought that there could possibly be a way to use the FCPXML for a more precise detection.

Is there a way to do this or am I completely off base?

    Thanks!

I found the – Preconforming “Flat” Media Files to EDLs section in the manual and it says nothing about XML, so I am guessing that I have to purchase EDL-X to convert my XML to EDL?

    Thanks again for any advice.
