    Since when does Motion not have particles of all things? In fact, by the looks of it, I’d even say it was actually made with Motion. And even the 3D part could easily be done with e.g. mObjects. But I suspect that was just a generic animation that they picked up somewhere and wasn’t actually made specifically for the project anyway.

    The question was could you do it all in FCPX and although they integrate, Motion is a seperate application. So yes, you can do it in FCPX but you will have to handle the particle effects in something else – be that Motion, Cinema 4D, mObiects, grab some stock footage, or whatever.
