Did you install them according to the installation instructions? They should show up in the Effects menu under Video Filters.

You need to unzip the files – sometimes you need to use Stuffit to unzip the file – and then I always put new plugins to LibraryApplication Support/Final Cut Pro System/SupportPlugins or for FCE4: LibraryApplication Support/Final Cut Express/Plugins – this should work.

Thanks, Marek. I used stuffit to unzip the marcus file. the 2 apps appeared – face light & vignette – but no installation instructions. Anyway, I tried putting the apps in various directories (following yr general suggestions):

library > app support > final cut studio > marcus plug ins (didnt work)
    then…

library > app support > final cut studio > motion > library > marcus plug ins (didnt work)
    then…

applications > marucs plug ins (didnt work)

This is weird… I did not have these plugins, but after posting I went to the site, downloaded them to mu Mac (did not even had to unzip them or use Stuffit – they were unzipped already upon downloading in the Download folder), and then I did what I wrote in the previous post – put them to: Library > App support > Final Cut Express > Plugins and they showed up in my FCE4 (I don’ have FCP) just fine, and are somehow quite intuitive, so I think one can use them fine without any instructions – their controls (in Control tab) might guide one’s actions easily…. but you need them to show up in the program first…. Good luck; it should work; I’m sure that something must be little off.. and you can spot it, so it’ll work.

Where do I get Face Light? I would like a copy. Everytime I find a webpage that has a link to download it… the page is dead.

Hi! Good morning if you like to use face light and Vignette apps for FCP, you can copy the apps to the Library > follow this instruction Library > Application support > FCP System Support > and Plug-ins and paste the apps! and you can see your face light and Vignette on FCP.
