  • Using F key to reveal original clip in and out points

Posted by Greg Jones on September 21, 2011 at 5:07 pm

One feature of Final Cut Pro 7 I use constantly is to be able to match back to the clips in and out points using the F key. There doesn’t seem to be an equivalent to this in Final Cut Pro 7. I actually haven’t found a way to even see a clips in and out points. Not sure how I would use this program without this feature. Anyone have any ideas? Am I missing something?

It gives I/O when the browser is in filmstrip view, not when it’s in list view.

That seems really odd to me, but so does Final Cut Pro X. Thanks.

The closest thing I know that is available at this point is “Shift + F” in FCPX.

Yeah that finds the original media but does not keep the in and out point.

You know, that’s just mean. I HATE filmstrip view. I smell a feature request.

I’ve certainly requested. More won’t hurt. I was hoping it would be fixed in 0.1, but no such luck.
