  • Using Expressions to animate smooth light movement

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to use expressions to animate a light with smooth movement. I am using the light as an emitter and don’t want to manually animate it, because I have a extremely long clip. The wiggle function is out of the question because its movements can be rough and sharp. I am trying to have the light to emit particles that are evenly space from each other while moving in 3D space. Any help is appreciated.

    hey,

give the wiggler a chance – maybe you set the “wiggles per second” to 0.5 or lower, so there will not be sharp movemend

this is a link to add easing to your expression… maybe adding this to a wiggle might smooth things out enough. sorry don’t have time to test it… good luck
