using ecamm recorder Skype in FCP
We’re having a problem using clips recorded from Skype via Ecamm Recorder, converted to apple proress422, then brought into fcp.
We getting “General Error” once in FCP and rendered.
For some reason the frame rate of clips came in at 8fps, 10fps and another at 14.99 fps, and the original quicktime .movs at 10fps.
Is there a better conversion via compressor or do I need to change settings in Ecamm recorder? The program doesn’t give numerical “video rate”choices, just slow/medium/fast.
For our test we did the first clip (that came into FCP as 8fps) with remote record only and the second clip (that came in at 14.99 fps) as advanced multi-track. We did get one clip to run without error by compressing to apple prores422 for progressive, but video still jumps too much.
I just know we can make this work, but how?Tonya Easbey
