    Hey all,
    Ive read the artilce on the Cineon files; https://magazine.creativecow.net/article/cineon-files-what-they-are-and-how-to-work-with-them
    but Im still unsure as to how to accurately work with this kind of file.

    Two of my questions are;
    1. Can you export a Cineon .DPX file with alpha(project settings are set to 32-bit (float) and workspace as none)?

    2. What is the proper way to adjust the Cineon converter so Im viewing the footage in the right way? I apply the filter but Im not sure how to use the settings. If I understand the tutorial on using the Cineon files correctly, you use the exposure control to clip the values so they dont go about 1.0 for RGB. Is this correct?

    I have never worked with an HDR image such as this, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

    Using the Cineon Converter effect is only recommended if you need to animate the values over time. The recommended ways of working with Cineon and DPX footage items are these:

    – (recommended) Use color management.
    – (OK) Interpret the Cineon/DPX files using the Cineon Settings dialog box (which you get to through the Interpret Footage dialog box).
    – (only if you need to animate settings) Use the Cineon Converter effect.

    See “Importing and interpreting Cineon sequences” and “Cineon footage items”.

    There’s a detailed, step-by-step set of instructions for digital cinema workflow using color management in the “Color management workflow in After Effects CS4” paper.
