    Using Digidesign 003 with FCP 7

    We have a couple of ProTools / Final Cut Pro systems being set up which are equipped with the Digidesign 003 control surface.

    Is it possible to use this as an audio I/O unit for FCP when ProTolls is not running. We’ve managed to get FCP to recognise the device but we cannot get the FCP audio output through the unit – well that’s not entirely true – we got an output briefly for a few seconds and then lost it again.

    Any ideas? I guess the upshot is if the control surface can act as a standalone I/O interface for FCP.

    Hi Brian,

    I also have Pro Tools 003 mixer and would like integration with FCP… did you ever have any success with this, or find a mapping program that makes it easier?
