    Hi All…

    in CS3…

At our facility, we typically have producers who do a rough cut, and online editors who finish.

I was expressing to the Producers that they should label clips using the description field in the project window. That way If editors want to see something that was shot and captured from around the same point we sill have the numerical capture file names to find stuff near by (we capture the whole reel with scene detect)…

for the most part this works great…But I just noticed that you can’t see the description field in the sequence…

Is there a pref for this? If not, has it changed in CS4?

    Thanks,

    Alex Udell

I don’t think there ever was a way to add a description to a clip on the timeline. Perhaps you can use sequence markers for that purpose? (Sequence markers have a comment field.)

    Cheers
