  • Using Decklink to dub Firewire DV input out to SDI without having to digitize??

I have a load of 30 minute shows that I’ve been given in DVCam format, which I need to dub down to BetaSP.

Is there any way I can patch the Firewire output of our DSR-11 and out through the Decklink card in SDI in realtime, without having to digitize the entire tape in FCP? I’ve fiddled around with the capture presets, and while I’m able to successfully route audio from the Firewire in to the BM SDI out (using the Log and Capture window in FCP), I can’t get the video to route.

And just to head off any “K.I.S.S.” questions, the reason why I don’t just patch the output of the DSR-11 straight into the Beta deck is because all of our decks are rackmounted in our machine-room, and routed with the Workgroup Videohub and Multibridge. I don’t want to pull any cables just to do something as mundane as dubbing DV to Beta 😛

    Thanks and Aloha,
    mel
