  • Using an object buffer to apply glow, but then how do I allow glow to still have its edges

So basically, I have a phone with buttons. i want the buttons to glow as they are pressed. I can use an object buffer to just affect the buttons. But the glow doesnt look any good without a slight expansion outside of the buttons?

You know that sorta soft falloff. i.e the radius of the glow. The glow otherwise just looks like i’m changing the color of the button?

    Hope that made sense?

buttons that glow from the inside are probably better done with the backlight channel shader (or maybe Chanlum or SSS) check out the glowing lamp thread, unless you really want the glow to be outside the buttons and that’s what the Glow channel or the AR Glow effect does.
