  • Using a movie file as an animated texture at its full length

    Hello guys,

I have tried all the settings in C4D but havent been able to use an avi or mov at its full length to animate a texture…

For example if I have a wedding avi file running for 4 minutes and I want to place this video on the TV screen on my 3D TV model in the scene.. I need to hover my camera around the 3d so that it will capture the TV playing the video in its screen for the total 4 minutes…

Every time I try, I get only a small fraction of the video being animated and say after few frames/seconds the video sets back to the beginning..this happens again and again..which is not the thing I want…

    Please can someone help?

I want the movie texture to animate at its full length…

    Kelum

Sounds like you need to adjust the animation properties in your material. Click on the field where your movie file name appears, then go to the Animation tab and set the appropriate start/end/framerate properties, or click the “calculate” button to have Cinema enter the values automatically.

If you want to see the movie play in the viewport you have to enable “animate preview” in the material’s editor tab.
