I saw in the updated BM Mac Config Guide that they support using a single graphics card for both GUI and GPU and specifically mention the GTX 570 as suited for such a config.

Just curious if anyone out there is using this config and have feedback as to the performance they are getting. Also curious what the difference is between running such a config as compared to have a 570 dedicated to just GPU and have say a 120 for GUI.

    Thanks for any feedback.

    Cheers, Chris

    Hi there,

I run my mac pro on a solo GTX570 2.5gb. Works great for SD+HD grading in real time, gets a bit bogged down once you start adding a lot of HSL qualifier nodes on the same shot at full HD but in general I would recommend it as either a stop gap between getting a dedicated GUI card- or in my case as the only card as my pci slots are full of other cards as it’s a multi use machine.

    Thanks,

    Jon

I’m getting numerous annoying hangs with thia card. Just the GTX 570 under 10.8.2 using FCPROX 10.0.5
