Using 3 different cameras with CS4 Premiere Pro, Is it possible or suicide?
I have a project I have begun where I have limited resources but want to try to make it work if possible…
The end product is intended to be displayed on the Internet (youtube, vimeo) only…The goal is to get three angles of footage at the same time using 3 different cameras and using CS4 Premiere Pro to edit the final piece.
I am new to sorting out specs… I have worked creatively with many different software packages over the years(Vegas, Premeire, Final Cut, etc.) but I never worried so much about the specifics of camera inter workings etc. I have never tried to use this many cameras at once either…
SO please chime in and drop me some knowledge if I am wrong… or have overlooked anything…
My Understanding
What I do understand is that working with similar footage is almost a must, especially with CS4…
Also, the web does not like interlaced video…Ideally I believe I would like to get the settings below to work well on Youtube, internet, etc….
1. Resolution – Frame size basically (1920×1080 or 1280×720)
2. Pixel Aspect Ratio -1920×1080 and 1280×720 are square pixels (1 : 1)
3. TV System – PAL or NTSC (either is ok I guess from what I hear)
4. Scanning Method – Progressive(p) [I heard interlaced is not good for the internet]
5. Frame Rate – 30fps(29.97), 25, 24 (not sure here, suggestions??)so I want to get my raw footage from these cameras as similar as I can….
The cameras I have access to are:
1. Canon Eos 550D
2. Sony nex5
3. lumix dmc-lx3
4. Sony HDR – XR150They are very different…
I looked up their specs online and found some very varied results.I would most likely need to convert some footage somehow I think but again this is why I am posting… Suggestions? (please don’t say shoot myself even if that seems the best answer)
I guess my question or plee for help is:
What do you think of my goal settings above for youtube? Are they good?
Do you think I can get these cameras to produce footage that will play together nicely?
Am I missing something in my setup?Travis
