    Hey guys

I’m very new to the audio world.. I just got given two sennheiser ew100 G2 wireless mics and i need to use two mics on a project coming up and was wondering if anyone had any helpful hints and tips?? I’m shooting on a canon XL2.

Do they need to be on two different frequencies?

Any information on the audio settings on the canon XL2 i should do? i’ve set them to manual/rear.. just want to make sure i’m on the right track.

Any help would be much appreciated as i’m pretty stuck.

    Cheers in advance

Yes they need to be on two different frequencys at least 50mhz apart. If one set is on as an example to 525.25 the other should not be closer than 525.75. Set the transmitter input level to -20 and the receiver output level to -20. Be sure the camera inputs are set to mic level. Adjust your levels on the camera so the meters read between -20 & -10 and you should be good to go.

    Hi,

Just thought I should mention these will be illegal to use after 2012 (I think its after the Olympics) as the frequencies are changing. Also even before this you should have a license to be fully legal.

I have tried to set my system up in this way using 2 lapel mic body packs into 1 receiver but it doesn’t like it when I have them on 2 different frequencies. It seems that each mic cancels the other one out?
