    We are currently running a FCP V5.1 (ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB (2 x dual-link DVI),
Two 3.0GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 16GB RAM, Fibre Channel PCI Express Card 2GB, 500GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s)from an Xserve RAID 3500GB ADM. We are looking to install an additional FCP V5.1 (Spec as above)from/to the same RAID. All our work is a minimum 720p 59.94 uncompressed, we are concious of bandwidth and are after any additional knowledge on whether this will work or not? If not what are possible solutions?

    Thanks

You are gonna need to look into a SAN network, like XSAN, MetaSAN, SANmp.

We share an Xraid attached to 1 Mac using gigabit ethernet. We usually limit this to DV and DVCpro50 edit. If you are using the DVCpro HD codec (which is pretty compressed) this might work at least for sharing media. I don’t think you could digitize across the network.
