I’ve adjusted the user interface colors to my liking except I cannot figure out if there is a way adjust they light grey background of the AE application itself? Or can the background color only be set for the floating windows? The area between the Project Window and the Timeline is what I’m referring to.

In the User Interface Colors panel there is a check box for “Affects Pasteboard Color”.

How did you get the gray scheme in the xp style?

John – Checking “Affects Pasteboard Color” only effects the background of the Comp window, but not the background of the entire AE application. Thanks for trying though.

    Hi,

-Right click your desktop then: Properties>Appearence>Advanced
-From the “Item” menu select “Aplication Background” Now you can change the color.

    Salut.

I just got Serge’s answer to work. Running XP Pro SP2. Thanks, Serge!
