So I did something dumb. I went into my preferences and chose my Video Preview Out as my Main Cinema Display, and I can no longer access my after effects interface. All I can see is video or just a big black screen when I restart the app. When I go to change it in the preferences the selections are all grayed out so I can’t even choose the Preferences or Quit.

Does anyone know how to trash my preferences so when I restart after effects my video out preview is disabled or set to None? I’m on a mac.

    thanx for any help.

users/[username]/library/preferences/adobe/after effects/[version#] the file is called something like adobe after effects [version#] prefs

if needed you can actually toss the entire folder that contains the pref file (the one named by the version number, like 8.0)
