What is the best way to fix jerky/jumpy video.

Project: Customer shot video to cut down on cost. Video is jerky, Need a fix within Final Cut Pro, if possible.

    Thanks

    do you have fcs 2?

    have you tried smoothcam?

can have great results … also some very bizarre results. worth a try.

bake a short section to a self contained quicktime.

drop the smoothcam filter onto it – this will take several minutes to analyze the clip (thus the reason to test on a short clip as smoothcam analysis the entire source clip.)

then play around with the settings in the filter to get best results.
i’ve read that it is recommended to lower the translational and rotational smoothness to lower than the default 2.5 but can’t remember where (i’ve had lots of success with aerials and car shots with 0.5-0.75 on each)

    then final render
