used IO
Hi all,
I’m pensioning off my cinewave and I’m looking to buy a used IO and need to know if there are any pitfalls I should be aware of. The guy selling it doesn’t know how old it is so are they all the same or were there hardware updates? What version of driver software should I be using? Is there a good link to the manual on the AJA website (the one in the documents page links to the ioHD manual)? Are there any known issues? Just any advice really.
I’ll be using it with either/all of: G5 dual 2Ghz, PB g4 1Ghz, MBP core 2 1.83 GHz and FCP5.
As an aside, will the IO give an output for COLOR in FCS2?

just get it !
you can get all the software drivers and manuals you need off the AJA website. IT’s pretty unlikely that it’s broken (unless it was at the bottom of a pond).Great box ! I hope you are spending less than $1000 for it.

I bought a used Io a while back with no reservations. Works great.
But the Io will not work with Color as a video device, Color does not support Firewire out at this time.
