    Hello all,
    Am I correct that the optical I/0 port on the MacBook’s is a S/PDIF port that is only capable of stereo capture? Is stereo capture the only option over this port.

    I know that USB 2.0 isn’t isosynchronous but I was hoping that with newer drives it might be possible to use a USB drive as media drive with my Motu traveler. Does anyone have any experience with this?

    I would use a firewire drive at all costs.
