  use more system resources

  Does anyone know how to setup either my preferences or comp settings so that ae will use more memory and cpu? The cpu stays at 50% and the memory says ae is only using like a quarter of my 2 gigs of memory? This might attribute to my long render times but i don’t know how to fix it?
