Use Macbook Pro To Live Monitor AG-HVX200
It seems like it was only 6-7 months ago that I was able to use Quicktime’s “Make Movie” function to monitor a live video stream coming off of my AG-HVX200 via the Firewire connection.
Now, it no longer works. Quicktime seems to recognize that the HVX200 is connected and so on but the image is completely black – no data is coming through. At first I thought it had to do something with the “PC Mode” setting on the camera but neither 1394 Device or Host settings work.
I see there are some commercial products that provide this function but they are all too expensive for me right now, any ideas on how I can either get QT working again to monitor live video coming off the AG-HVX200 or a free/cheap alternative?

Camera can’t be in a pN mode.
