I have a crazy question that might not even be possible. Is there a way to view my video footage on my macbook pro screen as interlaced footage the same way I would on a tv? I need something that can help me see the field issues etc, that viewing on a tv will accomplish.

I think the Matrox MXO accomplishes this but it requires an external monitor. I want to get this on my macbook pro monitor.

    Thanks,
    Mark

This isn’t possible. You’re right in thinking about the MXO – I’m currently using this. But it’s still going to require an extra display.

I’ll confirm Paul’s statement. You need an external monitor to view the interlacing.

What kind of issues are you talking about? You really can’t see fields on an interlaced display.

you’d be able to check correct field sequence in AE or Shake.
