Use Arri Alexa footage on WIndows?
Hello-
I have been asked to rescue an edit from a hapless production company that shot all of its footage on an Arri Alexa camera. They then gave me an edit XML with only RAW footage.Is there anyway to convert the footage for us in Windows, such as DNxHD .MOV or Cineform .AVI?
From the looks of their site they only make a GUI based tool for Mac and only a Command line version for Windows, and I have to be a customer to download either, which I can’t seem to register for.

You`ll need more software and answers for this (so the Cow is a good place) but GlueTools is a
good stop for me. There`s also visiting an Alexa edit shop. Fred Jodry -

Arri raw files can be read directly inside of adobe premiere on either platform.
Gluetools.com does make the only AMA plugin to control the ARRIRAW content directly on Avid Systems.
Resolve can also open and convert the files.
