Use 4 controllers to control several layers.
Hi, Iam kinda of a newbie when it comes to expressions so please bear with me.
I have a bunch of images (15 images or more) in my comp and I want to control them all from a Null. I tryed linking all the parameters I want to control to diferent sliders but it soon becames a mess. This has to be as tidy as possible because it will be mostly used by people with 0% After effects Knoledge.
I was thinking of having something like this in my Null:
Layer control (to choose with image will be affected)
Point controller (for position)
Angle (for rotation)
Slider (for scale)Is it possible? To have just does four controller to control al the images instead of having position, rotation and scale for everyone.
Could someone help me please with this? Thanks in advance. -

I don’t think you can do it with expressions. The problem is that when you switch the layer control, the layer that was previously controlled will revert to its original settings (expressions have no memory). I don’t see any way around that.
You could do it with a dockable script panel. I think it would be a fairly simple script, but there’s a significant learning curve if you’ve never done one before.

Before anything else I want to thank you for taking the time to help me.
Isn´t there anyway I can tell the expression to write a keyframe everytime i change the layer in the layer control? Iam sure this is a really dumb question. But as I said before Iam a newbie at expressions.If the answerd is no could you point me in the right direction in script subjet?

Expressions can’t create keyframes.
