    I’m using an Alienware M17x with Panasonic HVX200A and a Panasonic AJ-PCS060 P2 Storage Drive…
We recently did an event with 3 other HVX200 camera operators and got seriously bogged down importing 64Gig P2 cards. Each card took on average 50 minutes, not fast enough at 18-20MB/second..
Is there anyway to make my P2 storage drive work with USB 3.0?

    Stuck in Ocala, Fl

you should but looking at the Panasonic AJ-PCD35 which uses an express PCI card or Panasonic AJ-PCD20 which uses FW800. The device you have is the slowest thing next to the camera. The PCI card will give you the fastest transfer at this time. There is also a device by Sonnet Qio (but I have not used it)

The new USB reader is also on the slow side.

Your device is not usb3 so it will not speed things up. The only devices that will speed things up are what Michael suggest.
