    > Yes, guess need to wait a while for the Cfast 2 to come down in price.

It won’t be long. Lexar 32GB CFast 2.0 cards are priced at $179.99 and will start shipping in a few weeks.

    Thats great news…

What about bigger cards? to film Raw, is 32 not a bit to little?

Personally speaking (and using 120GB cards on the URSA), the 32GB cards aren’t a viable solution. At 4Kp24 ProRes HQ you’ll only get a little over 5 minutes of recording time. Even 1080p24 only gives you 21 minutes of recording time. 4Kp60… only 2 minutes, LOL. Forget RAW with 32GB. Even the new RAW 3:1 will only give you minutes worth of shooting.

Think of it this way… would you ever use a 32GB SSD on your BMCC or especially the BMPC 4K? No way. Just too small.

120GB is really the bare minimum the URSA should be using in my opinion. Then the camera will really shine!

[John Fishback] “Not only are they less expensive, they have better performance specs.”

    And probably super-unreliable.

I use SanDisk CFast2 cards in our URSA for their reliability. Over the years I’ve always used SanDisk products.

Few days back i have bought a new URSA with its new V2, 4.6k sensor on board camera and started to do test shoots. It was so disappointing to see that its Iris control is not working for EF lenses. And the raw file folder is not carrying a XML file in it. So its not possible to edit or convert the DGN file sequence in any kind of softwares including Resolve. I dont know what to do with it. I have contacted technical team of BM but they also not sure about it and asked me deal with the service center

Hello people! Since we are talking here about cfast cards and 4K raw recording, I would like to ask you about a device that can handle 2 ssd drives and shoot on URSA 4K raw @120fps? Do you people think it’s a good idea? 🙂

    Thanks!

With this device on URSA you can have 4K RAW@120FPS, and if firmware allowed, 4K RAW3:1@160FPS!

How would you output raw from the ursa?
