    Hello

I have found other people had similar problems but haven’t found a definite solution in their threads.

    We work on:
    2x2gb G5
    4,5 GB RAM
    Mac OS X 10.4.5
    FCP 5.0.4
Quicktime 7.04Decklink HD Pro (Dual link) card (installed on the 2nd pci slot, impossible to fit on the top slot)
    Dlink
    apple cinema display 23
    Profesional SD monitor.

We are working with an HDV project and were trying to monitor via the Apple Cinema Display, but even if we set it to downconversion OFF it is downconverting, and there is nothing else we can do.

Anybody can think of a possible solution???

    Thanks

Do you have another card in the 3rd slot from the top?

    Hi,

I’ve already responded to your support email and it sounds like what Juan suspects; you probably have another PCI card in slot 2 or 3 other than the DeckLink card which is slowing down the shared 100Mhz bus. Try moving that card to the top slot of your G5.

    You are right!
Our fibre channel card is there.
We tried to move it up to the top slot, but it wont feet. An element inside our G5 clashes with the card.

we tried again and did fit eventually.
We get HD and SD downconverted monitoring from HDV now.
    Thanks for your help
