  Upscaling/Deinterlacing using the BM UpDownCross Converter

  Hello,

  we are looking for solutions to de-interlace and/or upscale a 576i SD signal. Currently we are using a software de-interlacer that converts 576i to 576p50 -> of course some quality is lost. Hence, we look for better options.

  For instance by converting 576i to 720p50. Is the Blackmagic UpDownCross converter capable of doing that? Does it do proper de-interlacing? How good is the resulting quality?

  Are there other options, either in hardware or software? Thanks a lot for any input and advice!
