I am grading a 1080p 23.98 project in DaVinci Resolve with 2.39 output blanking and the client wants to deliver 2.39 aspect ratio but at a resolution of 2048×858 (Cinema Scope 2.39 ). I have a way to do this in Resolve but want to compare it against what AE can do. How best to do this in the latest version of AE CC coming from my rendered work in Resolve?

An important detail is that the edit came from fcp7 via xml with sizing info and some shots also had stabilization done in AE so are not full frame 1080 as they move to keep stabilized. That being said they want to also get a 1080 render from me with the sizing info off which is fine – I will do that simply out of Resolve. What I am really curious about is how to get best results in AE to compare against what Resolve can do with uprez.
