I’m producing an HD short for broadcast and must mix-in some SD footage with some 1920*1080 footage, does anybody have an idea what to use in order to upres SD to HD ?
    I work on Vegas.
    Thank you guys.

I just did this with at least 30 SD clips this past weekend.
Drop them on your 1920*1080 timeline, open up Pan/Crop and do a Match Output Aspect and resize/crop if necessary, and render.
I rendered everything to 1920*1080 60i MXF format because that’s what my final delivery format will be.
The SD footage was soft in comparison to the HD material but it was better than I had expected.

well the question is: how do you do that match output aspect? i don’t see that option anywhere

Go into pan/crop and right-click anywhere. It’s one of the options that comes up.

i tried it, unfortunately it didn’t work: the new HD render is way too pixelated…

I was afraid of that 🙁
Something you can try is a product from Boris called UpRez that I’ve heard good things about.
A trial version is available and, if you like it, it’s only $99.00
