I’ve just created a nice title sequence with an animated ‘shimmering’ background strap using one of the AE templates. I’ve exported it as a QT movie and imported it into Avid Media Composer, but the end result is quite disappointing. It seems to judder and the font looks very washed out – is it something to do with the Lower & Upper Field setting in AE3?
    I’d really appreciate any help.
    Thanks.

The Avid is usually 720 x 486, lower field first – is that the size you made it? Try a test, create a white xo traveling across the screen over 3 seconds; render one out upper field, and one out lower field. Import both into the Avid to see which looks good and which stutters.

    Hope this helps,
