February 23, 2009 at 5:21 pmYou know, now that you mention it, I have another spec sheet for the more ‘local’ or I guess regional version of the specs and it says 720×486. The other version I have is for their automated facility and it says 720×512 and it must be 4:2:2. I don’t know. I am new to this game too and it’s been hard to get a straight answer out of anyone.
Did you do 720×486 or 512?
At any rate, I am sending off certification files later today. Let’s see what they say.

it was 720×486
but I have seen the 720×512.
a local cable station was having trouble getting a 720×512
file from DGS to run in their server so they contacted
me to change it for them back to 486.they have older equipment that won’t accept the 512 res file.
damn proprietary stuff!

No kidding. It’ll be interesting how this certification process goes.
