  • Upgrading, which version, 6.5 or 7 ?

This may seem like a strange question, but I have AE 6.0 Prof Version right now. I am a “light” user, but would like to learn more. To that end, I have borrowed the complete Total Training 6.5 DVDs from a friend. Now, I’m wondering if I should upgrade to 6.5 or 7.0 in order to work along to the training. If I jump up to the 7.0 edition, will the training make sense? Or should I buy 6.5 now, and move to 7.0 in the future? The upgrade price is the same, $199.

Most of the stuff in the training should make sense with 7, and if not, you SHOULD be able to figure it out with just a little bit of messing around.

Treatyourself to the new interface and get 7. Differences are figureoutable (new word).

Thanks for the advice. I doubt I’ll get through all 47 hours, but we’ll see. I got through most of the 4.1 training years ago. Are there any other training DVDs or books that are “must-haves” for learning AE? I’m actually interested in more “cookbook” type training, like some of the podcasts, where a certain effect or look is dissected.
