Upgrading RAM 2012 Mac Pro
So our company purchased the new stock configuration 2012 Mac Pro 12 core with 12 GB of RAM. I proceeded to purchase two 8 GB crucial brand memory sticks from newegg as seen here.
I tried adding it today, and couldn’t figure out a grouping that it would accept with the front LED just blinking when I tried turning the machine on.
Tried slot 1 and 6, moving 2 GB sticks to slot 5 and 10, and tried leaving those slots open and just removing the 2×2 GB sticks.
There’s no manual online yet for the 2012 Mac Pro, but looking at the old RAM instructions for the 2010 mac pro with similar ram slots didn’t yield any results either.
Anyone try to work on a 2012 Mac Pro yet? Any suggestions?
