    hi

I have FCP v.3 and want to upgradr to v.5. What’s the best way to go about this? I have a 17″ Mac laptop SuperDRIVE….

Do I simply order the software from Apple?

I’d really appreciate any help on this mater…thanks in advanced!

    Thank you
    -Scotty

Unless you can find a separate FCP 5 for sale elsewhere Apple is now only offering FCP 5 as part of the entire Final Cut Studio. As a FCP 3 owner you can upgrade for $699.

Scotty, no offense, but that’s a screaming deal for the ENTIRE FCP Studio. You get Motion, SoundTrack Pro, LiveType, Cinema Tools, Compressor, and and and andandadnadn….

If you had bought them all individually, it would have cost much much much more.

Granted, one can no longer buy them individually…but that’s a different thread.

I know it feels steep, but it really a big bargain & gets you current on software. Now’s the best time to upgrade.
