UpGrading FCP
So I have a feeling about the answer to my question … but I thought I would ask. I read alot of people asking the same question outside the Cow … so I figure I would be the one to throw it out there in here.
CAN I UPGRADE FCP 5.0 to FCP 6.0 on 2 Computers WITH 2 FCP UPGRADE LICENCES?
So to clarify, the office I am at has one computer in the studio suite with FCP 5.0 and UPGRADED to 6.0 … We bought another computer for a second suite and wanted to get FCP on there as well so we can use the XRAID for all the footage for both computers to network. We were going to buy another FCP 6.0 … but wondered if we could just buy another FCP Upgraded 6.0 and take on the Serial of the 5.0 That we already have.
So 1 5.0 FCP FULL RETAIL … and 2 FCP Upgrade 6.0 … Possible or Not?
Our equipment specs for you reference:
1st Computer – Quad G5 / 8 GB Ram
2nd Computer – 8-Core 2.8 Intel Xeon / 6 GB RamThanks

No. If you have one FCP 5, then you can only upgrade it once. The other computer will have to be a full license.
