This is very frustrating….I just upgraded to Leopard on a G5 1.5 4 gig ram Radeon 9800 pro graphics card. The OS runs fine but I cannot start FCP6. It just crashe upon start up. I have everything updated all software ect, fixed permissions, trashed prefs, and still nothing. It seems like there is a lot of problems with this too from what I have read. Does anyone know of a fix that works? I am getting ready to go back to tiger…. Any suggestions?

    THanks.

    Ian,

Did you do a clean install or did you simply upgrade to Leopard?

If it was simply an upgrade, that certainly would increase your chances of encountering issues.

A clean install of both the OS and FCS2 is highly recommended.

Yes I just did an upgrade. I did however do a clean install of FCS2. I just have so much stuff on my HD, makes it hard to wipe it all clean.

You could make a clone of your drive (verified of course), do a clean install of the OS and use the Migration Assistant to pull everything off of the clone. You can bring over accounts, passwords, documents, music, photos etc etc.
