  upgraded to 6800, but no startup…

  Hi all,

  maybe one of you can help…

  i just switched from my fx5200 to a 6800 Ultra.
  i wanted to restart, but the mac hanged after the grey starting screen,
  displaying a plain blue screen.

  i started in safe mode (shift+s) and everything’s fine, i can
  change resolution etc….

  i suppose the problem is, that i have an acer2051w, running
  at 1680*1050, and the acer somehow sends the 6800 a signal
  causing it to crash..

  any idea ideas of a workaround???

  my machine:

  dual 1.8 (sept 2003)
  10.4.9
  Seritek sata controller (pulled out – same problem)
  BMD Decklink (pulled out – same problem)
  3.5 gigs of ram
