Upgrade Vegas movie studio?
I currently use Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum +DVD version 6b. I see that I can now get an upgrade for a reasonable price to version 8. Are there any significant benefits in doing so? Your views would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you go to the product pages on Sony’s site, it will show you the updates from VMS 7 to VMS 8. Going into the update pages looking at the “readme” for VMS7 should show you the major changes from VMS 6 to VMS 7. Doing that led to this list:

Many thanks for such a quick response. As I am not in HD (yet), nor do I export to any other format than DVD, it seems that the only attractive improvements are faster processing and a better preview. This latter may convince me but I’ll have to think about it. I’ll read all the blurbs again on the Sony site. Cheers.
