…upgrade to v9.5 and BP…

just talked to Maxon and am feeling a bit “roughed up” on this upgrade pricing and was wondering how to proceed…
I upgraded my core v7 to v9.1 at end of July – just before 9.5 was announced. In order to upgrade to v9.5 core, it is going to cost me $295 – which is the same as an XL or Studio upgrade from 9.1 to 9.5; in retropect, I should have been more “sensitive” to Sigraph timing and not upgraded at that point, but being new and unaware of these things, I didn’t know. do you think the core upgrade is worth $295? the render time improvement sounds nice, but at this point not really, really, critical for my stage of use/development…
secondly, early August – count me stupid twice – I ordered NEW BodyPaint – integrated version. I was just told by Maxon to upgrade that would cost $95. Yikes! I just bought the silly thing less than 25 days ago and I thought I should get a free upgrade. When I pressed, I was told that the free upgrade was only for stand-alone versions, plus there was really no change in the integrated/modular version. I must have misread some forum threads of the BP improvements – I thought they were substantive. Worth upgrading?
I *would* llke to avoid getting double whacked if I don’t upgrade now and then v10 comes out,,,,

That doesn’t seem quite fair, does it? If it was me and the render speed improvement wasn’t that critical, I’d hold off for R10.
