    Hi

As usual I am pretty leery about upgrading an OS that works just fine for me on everything I have but
seeing as the new production suite more or less forces me to upgrade to at least10.3.9 I am obviously at a
cross roads. Is 10.3.9 a safer choice or really is there no difference.
I mean, is fcp 5 really worth taking the risk at this point or should I wait till it becomes clear that all works well

I would upgrade to Tiger. So far I have had only a couple of very minor “issues.” FCP 5 is going on my machine tonight. Took me three visits to the Apple store to get my hands on the upgrade. This thing is selling like hot cakes!

    Hi,

I am not sure which is safer but if you need to make a change 10.4 has more future.

Don’t take a risk! Purchase (if necessary) another drive and use SuperDuper or CCC to clone your boot partition. Then boot to it and test it. Then if things go south with the new software you only need to boot to your cloned partition and you are back in business. More info here:

    Best Wishes,
