Nope, not great. Items transferred with Time Machine will be quite slow, especially if you transferred settings, plug-ins and software from there to your computer. We experienced that here.

Clean install of all software, plug-ins, etc.. give you the best performance.

How about some specs on your system?

I also re-transfered my motion templates after the time machine transfer and it’s still slow….Even editing is sluggish….Do then suggest my graphic artist needs to build the graphics again? Thanks for your time..

When you did the upgrade, did you do it properly? Wipe your hard drive clean, install the OS, install Studio, install all updates, install your plug-ins, etc…?

If you did not do all of this, your system can perform very slowly. You should not drag and drop anything from your old setup except Project files and custom templates you have created. Everything else should have been installed clean on your system.

I think I installed properly….It’s a new box with OS already installed…I then installed the Final Cut Studio as per the promts…Could it be the opperating system? I’ve read that 10.6.2 has some issues?

    Thanks
