    Hi all-
    I just upgraded our production suite (fcp 5 from 4.5) and everything seems to have slowed down a bit. FCP drops frames much more often. Waveforms in the timeline take forever to build. It’s just not as responsive as it was. Motion isn’t realtime anymore. I also upgraded to Tiger before the suite.

    What did I do wrong? Can I fix this anoying problem.

    Repair your permissions, delete your FCP & Motion preferences and cache’s. Repair your the drives using DiskWarror (or at least Disk Utility). Check to make sure you have the latest firmware, drivers, etc for all your video hardware (video card, RAID, etc). Make sure you have downloaded any updates to software applications as needed.
