Unless you’ve done it in the last 30 days, probably not. I don’t know for sure, but generally, they see it that you got use of MC between 5 & 5.5.

Only if you purchased/upgraded and registered 5.5 between Oct 15 and Nov 14 2011. Or if you’re on support. Otherwise, it’s 299 USD for the electronic download, _including_ AvidFX, Sorensen Squeeze, and Avid DVD. It will exclude BCC, though.

I just bought the 5.5 crossgrade yesterday from Amazon/Adorama for $926 with free delivery. If anyone wants 6.0 at a way cheaper price, I suggest they snap up a copy of the old 5.5 FCP crossgrade before they disappear.

Correct, as long as you buy 5.5 before Nov 14th.

    [Peter Corbett] “with free delivery”

Shipping to Australia is not free – $88.95

So if the shipping value does not include the shipping costs I will not have to pay duty. So lets hope they don’t stuff it up!

BUT I HAVE A QUESTION…. I have ordered mine also from Amazon/Adorama and they never asked for FCP serials or proof of owning FCP. Where’s the catch?

We have an office in Houston.

With shipping to Oz, my understanding is GST is only applied on the product price, not the shipping. Best to check on the customs website.

I’m assuming it is like upgrading FCP or CS5; you will have to enter the FCP serial to allow installation of Avid to proceed. Or it could be in the registration process. You register and you get an unlock key. I don’t think it will be a problem.
