Upgradable to USB 3 or not?
Hi. I have a MacPro 5.1, early 2009, and i’ve heard differing stories on whether i can upgrade it to USB 3. any final answers here?
i would love to get this card:
CalDigit FASTA-6GU3 eSATA/USB 3
or something similar. Your thoughts on this?

Final answer: I put a Inateck 4 Ports PCI-E to USB 3.0 Expansion Card in both my 2008 Mac Pro and 2010 Mac Pro and it works great. I assume it will work in your 2009 Mac Pro as well.
