Hi there good forum members of creative cow,

I have a question, i want to upgrade my firmware in my hm700 so that i can record on to .mp4 files so the client can edit it in avid.

I have never update firm ware on anything like a camera, so i am really new to it.

I hope someone can help me and tell me what steps i have to take. I work on a mac, if that makes any difference.

    Lots of thanks!

I just did this a month or so ago. First, here’s the link to the JVC site

    https://support.jvc.com/pro/firmwareupgrade/versionentry.jsp?modelId=35

Enter the info. You’ll then download the files to your computer. Included is a text file that gives you instructions on how to copy the files to your SDHC card and how to upload to your camera.

    It’s fairly painless.
