Updating to High Sierra
I want to purchase a plugin from Pixel films, however the website says I must have High Sierra.
I’m currently in between 3 projects and only on 10.12.6. I always thought that you should never update your OSX in between projects.
My Mac is a mid 2010
2 x 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
16 GB 1066 MHz DDR3
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MBEverything works fine for the type of projects I work on. Any advise?

If you want to use that plug-in, you don’t really have much choice. The only real reason not to update is in case the new OS and your plugins, NLE, etc have incompatibilities but right now FCPX, the plugins and macOS High Sierra are as stable as they’re ever going to get so I can’t see a reason not to update mid-project.

I’ve been on High Sierra for a few weeks now and so far so good.
